“Fun, Funner, Funical” Leave it to my grandson…I was totally unaware that you could conjugate a noun. I am a proud mother….er…grandmother.

This story reminds me of a night with you, Jorden, and you, Matt, in the upstairs of the old Hotel Northern one dark night. Remember that loud, deep sound…allegedly the sound of the resident ghost? I can’t remember…were those “manly screams?”

My dear grandson…please, don’t ever lose that vivid imagination. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole thing. An added bonus was that I did not have to refer to my newly found “english to texting” reference guide! I enjoyed your tales, but would like you to post a picture of those dogs…like you did of King Kong. I did, however, catch a glimpse of the pregnant goat.

Also, I’m so glad that you’ve had all that practice in performing surgery during 200 MPH high speed chases so that you could save my other grandson’s life. Thank you so much for that. I’ll have to come up with some sort of medal for you to wear on your chest.

Well…in spite of having to read this 3 or 4 times because I don’t have an english to texting translating guide either, I truly enjoyed all of your adventures in NYC.

I was especially pleased to see that you snapped a picture of King Kong before he jumped over to the Chrysler Building. For a moment, while reading, I was doubting the King Kong part…but now I’m a believer!

I’d love for you to take me in a chopper ride when you get home, but please…no crashing or emergency landings. I’d like a nice, leisurely boring ride over Ludington and Manistee please.

Now Ashley, I can’t believe that you were afraid in a cemetery OR bats. Remember when we went and looked at all the headstones that day when I was staying with you? Also…bats were pretty common in that old hotel…I thought you were used to it. Running out of gas in an isolated cemetery…well, that’s another story. I’d be pretty scared too.

Sounds like you had fun at the amusement park even though the water park was closed down. I’m so glad you kids got to go with Uncle Justin and Aunt Dawn on the trip. It’s something you will always remember. Even Gettysburg (although an eensy bit boring) will have its benefits when you study the Civil War in history class. It’s so much easier to study about a place once you’ve been there.

I hope you went back on retrieved your shoe! I know Gettysburg was probably a little bit boring…but it will help with your studies of the civil war and when the boring teacher is talking about the boring battle, your mind will be alert because you know exactly where he or she is talking about. Trust me on that. Continue having fun…I know I don’t have to tell you to do that, and keep us posted on what’s going on. You’re doing a great job! ~~Gram

Matt, I am very proud of the things you’ve written on this trip. It sounds like you put a lot of thought into it. I’m also glad that you got brave and went on the roller coasters and very proud that you and Jorden screamed like ninnies in your manly voices!

It’s too bad about the water park being closed. That, does NOT make any sense to me whatsoever. You’re going to get wet anyway…what difference does it make if you get rained on? In fact, it should make it easier to face the wet rides!

I’m anxious to see that video and will be glad to see you when you get back. I’m afraid that you’re in for more rainy weather today…but as I’ve said before, it sounds like you’re having an awesome time and I’m jealous. Love, ~~Gram

Gettysburg, boring??!! I am taken aback! But, with you being about the same age as my girls when we went, I will forgive your comment. Didn’t you love all the monuments? What about the cemetery? Ok, sorry, I will stop now. It sounds like you are all having a great time! We love reading all your posts.

Oh, and it is no wonder you almost choked if you were at Picketts buffet, I told Dawn to take you to “The Avenue” cafe. Keep updating us!!
